Today is International Women’s Day. On this day in 1917, protests began in Russia by women demanding food. The protests grew as men joined by the tens of thousands. Police were confronted. The people couldn’t be silenced. The people had reached a breaking point.

The revolution was begun by women.

The coronation of Tsar Nicholas II in 1896 was a spectacle of grandeur that was to be the last of its kind.

Russians were suffering losses in WWI and the families of soldiers were starving. As the royalty continued to live luxurious lives, people had no bread. The protests spread widely and led to the abdication of Czar Nicholas.

And, due to the frequency in which the president has played, the site estimated that meant that taxpayers paid out at least $10.7 million for the president to hit the links across the first month of his second term.

It puts Trump on pace to spend well over $100 million golfing in 2025. HuffPost reported that he spent an estimated $152 million, golfing 293 days at his own resorts, during his first term.”
